Look down any line of same-age children and you can see a wide range of heights. While the dimensions of the furniture should be listed with the product descriptions, items will generally not specify what age a desk or chair is appropriate for. The following are some general guidelines used to help determine whether an item of furniture would be suitable for your child, along with a few of our products for comparison. Because children grow so quickly, it may be a good idea to purchase something that they can grow into in order to prolong the usefulness of a purchase.
AGE | TABLE HEIGHT | CHAIR HEIGHT |
Toddler to Age 4 | 20 to 22 inches | 10 to 12 inches |
5 to 7 years old | 22 to 25 inches | 12 to 14 inches |
8 to 10 years old | 24 to 29 inches | 13 to 17 inches |
The Cosco Kid's 2-Piece Activity Set, model 14322, has a shorter seat, but with a 150-pound weight capacity on the chair. The height would be most comfortable for a younger child, but the weight capacity is sturdy enough for someone much larger.
Similarly, Model 14323 the Cosco Kid's 3-Piece Activity Set, while not identical, has a 12.4" seat height with a 150-pound weight capacity. The table is slightly taller, however.
Both have pinch-free folding for younger users.
