Getting to know your Cosco Shifter Multi-Position Folding Hand Truck and how it moves can be a little like learning to riding a bike. It may take a couple of tries to understand which direction the wheels should be in and a little knowledge about how to use it. Also like a bike, the Shifter can move slightly faster than you might expect when folding; please read all warning labels and exercise caution until you are familiar with the buttons and where to put your fingers. Troubleshooting:
If things don't go according to plan, and your shifter won't fold properly, take a look at the direction that the hinge is bending.
To fix, fold the handlebar down as you normally would to close and apply pressure to the plate. It should correct itself. Caution: notice that the larger casters are folded flat against the unit. This can create a pinch point as the piece snaps back into place, so please keep your fingers clear!
