Replacing the wheels on your hand truck is fairly simple and straight forward, and needs only a pair or two of plyers to accomplish. The wheel assembly is held in place on the axle with a straight cotter pin. Using a pair of needle-nose plyers, unbend the cotter pin and pull it through the hole in the axle rod. Replacement wheels do not include new cotter pins, so this would need to be reused or replacements purchased from a local hardware store. Once the cotter pin is removed, lift the old wheel off are replace it with the new. Lastly, reinsert the cotter pin and bend it back around the curve of the axle.
